Volunteer at GenCon!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at the Gen Con 2026! Here is the application form! 

Please read the following information carefully. If you believe you’re the person we’re looking for, complete the application form and email it to jeanduval.dutoit@themeborne.com. We look forward to receiving it!

Applications must be received by March 1st 2026

The Role

• You will be joining the Themeborne Demo Team as an unpaid volunteer.
• You will be working as part of the team responsible for staffing the Themeborne Gen Con booth during show hours: 10am to 6pm, Thursday July 30th to Sunday August 2nd.
• The role involves helping to setup and maintain the booth, talking to show attendees about Themeborne, and demonstrating our games.

Requirements

• You must be based in the USA and fluent in English.
• You must arrange your own transportation to and from the show.
• You must complete the application form and return it to us by the deadline.
• You must be available, attend, and be in condition to work during the show hours stated above.
• You must be agreeable to helping with other tasks related to the role, within reason.
• You must have knowledge of Themeborne’s published games and be able to demonstrate them with confidence and enthusiasm.
• You must maintain our high standards of conduct - ensuring a friendly, welcoming, and respectful environment and atmosphere on the Themeborne booth at all times.

Provided

• A 4-day Gen Con show pass.
• Hotel accommodation, parking, food and drink.
• Branded Themeborne t-shirts, one for each day of the show.
• Tips on demonstration technique and continued support during the show.
• In the event you are required to demonstrate an unreleased game, an advanced copy or a rulebook will be provided to give you plenty of time to familiarize yourself with it.
• An extended break of a whole morning or afternoon shift, giving you time to look around and enjoy the show!

Selection

• An initial shortlist will be selected from among completed application forms.
• A video call interview will be conducted before final selection.
• Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into about our choices.
